Do you believe in magic?

"Do you believe in magic in a young girl’s heart?
How the music can free her, whenever it starts..."

Growing up, I (Derryn) would spend hours playing dress-up in a dear friends grandmother’s wedding dress. The house, situated on the top of a hill, had rolling lawns, a beautiful pool with cherub fountains, and floral, elegant décor that felt like stepping into a storybook. It brought me so much joy—those little details, the sense of romance, the magic of it all.

As a child, I had two dreams: to marry a man with a big, wonderful family and to become a mother. Life, as it turns out, gave me both. And in ways I never expected. When I met Terence, he not only became my family but also opened my eyes to a world of possibility. After film school, when the industry felt impossible to break into, he saw an opportunity—why wait for a door to open when we could build one ourselves? Why wait for permission to tell stories when we could open the doors to love stories waiting to be captured?

That’s what makes these films the best kind. They aren’t just about the beauty of a wedding day—they are about preserving the people who fill that day with love. Not just two lovers promising forever, but the friends who raise a glass, the parents whose eyes glisten with pride, the grandparents whose laughter rings through the air. The way they move, the way they smile, the way they are—captured forever, so that one day, when you long to see them again, you can press play and be transported right back to that moment.

Sarah & Nicholas, your wedding day was filled with that kind of magic—the kind that lingers long after the last song fades. A day wrapped in love, with moments that will live on, not just in memory but in the details we so carefully preserved. Thank you for trusting us with this honour. May your love last forever and a day.
